About The Set
This set of finely detailed working blocks are carved using the techniques and material used by generations of decoy makers. Each decoy is handcarved from select aged white cedar, the wood of preference by hunters due to its durability and longevity. After the rough carving is complete, each decoy body is then hollowed out. Traditionally this was done to lighten the weight of the decoy and prevent the block from splitting. The heads are carved with life-like detail, giving each a distinct and individual personality. Authentically keeled and weighted, these decoys would be right at home in the mud and ice of your favorite marsh. However, Susan's unique style of painting, coupled with her understanding of color-mixture, adds realism not often seen in "gunning style" decoys. This ensures you will never want them to leave the comfort of your home.

As a part of this exclusive offering, you will receive one pair of decoys every other month for two years! The cost is $500 per pair which is payable upon shipping of each pair.
